It is June 2016 and the  pet industry is currently unregulated, this means that any individual who chooses can open a business and operate as a professional. There is no mandate for educational, ethical or procedural standards.

Think about this. When you engage a pet professional for services, your may end up contracting a professional who has no formal training,  competent skills or professional experience working with pets.  To make matters worse your “professional” may not be transparent about this.

As the pet owner it is ultimately your responsibility to protect the physical, mental and environmental well being of your pet. To help you do this it is our goal over the next few months to provide the resources for you to make the best decision on behalf of your pet in terms of professional pet industry services.
